York Decorative & Fine Arts Society( York DFAS, YDFAS) is a charity and a member of NADFAS the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts.

The definition of NADFAS is
Arts Education and Heritage Conservation

Nine Meetings per year are held in the Gimcrack Room, York Racecourse at 1.15 pm on the 4th Tuesday of each month, excluding July, August and December.
Each meeting consists of a one hour lecture with slides by a NADFAS accredited lecturer on subjects ranging from architecture, gardens, glass, misc, paintings, people, porcelain, sculpture, silver, textiles, travel, etc.
There are usually, four Study Days, two overnight Visits and one day Visit often to compliment the lectures where we visit galleries, exhibitions and private houses.
Wonderful work is carried out by our Church Recorders, Heritage Volunteers and Young Arts.
Do join our volunteers and help with worthwhile conservation projects in and around our city of York.

Single £45 per annum
Double £85 per annum
Age Group: 16-25 years; 25-60 years; 60+ years

Members wishing to bring a guest or person from the waiting list should telephone the Membership Secretary before the day of the lecture.
Each visitor may only attend 2 lectures annually.
