CASTLE HOWARD. General info
All over the estate a major programme of restoration work is dedicated towards preserving this priceless heritage, ranging from large projects dealing with the masonry, lead roofing, the gardens, and the lakes and waterways, to smaller but no less important objects such as lead statues, paintings, books and furniture. For each of these items has its own very special story to tell in the history of Castle Howard.
