CASTLE HOWARD LIBRARY

CASTLE HOWARD LIBRARY - HERITAGE VOLUTEERING
NADFAS volunteer groups at Castle Howard give valuable service conserving our heritage.
In the library our volunteers continue with the massive task of book restoration and are very skilful and dedicated in their work.
The work entails conserving record books covering many different activities both on the estate and in the house, which is the largest private house in Yorkshire.
The books conserved by NADFAS volunteers are never seen by the public but are of immeasurable value both to the house and indeed to the history of the County of Yorkshire.
