YOUNG ARTS
There are currently 28 Young Arts Groups across the UK. They are a junior part of NADFAS and as such enjoy access to experts and unusual venues. Most Young Arts Groups are sponsored by the Society in their area and are run voluntarily by a committee of parents. Groups organise a programme of arts events throughout the year for their members.
Membership is open to anyone between the ages of 8 and 18.
The aims of young NADFAS are to stimulate a lively interest and lasting enthusiasm for all aspects of the arts and to encourage a greater awareness of our environment.

York Civic Trust launched their Young Civic Trust with a Georgian Ball. Our grant specifically for wigs helped them with this costume event. The young people also had some instruction in dance steps of the period. The York Civic Trust has recognised that all our societies have ageing membership and new younger members need to be encouraged to join.
